Erin and Scott’s Sanctuary wedding was one for the books. They are beautiful people, inside and out! From the moment we met them during our initial meeting we fell in love with them! They are funny, sensitive, and adore each other to pieces! Also, we are partial to family and relationships, and Erin and Scott were supported and loved bigtime by their families and friends.

Here are our favorite moments from their Sanctuary wedding day:

1. Scott’s niece and nephews. They were so adorable and it’s so sweet to see a wedding through the eye’s of a child. Children are not inhibited, and act like nothing but themselves. Erin and Scott’s full picture gallery has a ton of fun images of the kids throughout the day.

2. Erin’s Mother, who was so attentive throughout the entire planning process, didn’t stop being such a big help on the wedding day. She continued to be right by Erin’s side! We love the little moments we caught of her doting on her daughter.

3. This reception was incredible! The Hora is always fun, but the best part of this reception was when Erin got up on the stage and sang Journey’s Don’t Stop Believin’ with the band! Scott also got to dazzle a bit on guitar! đŸ˜‰ Sapphire Sky, the live band, is the BEST!

Erin and Scott, you two are amazing and we are so happy to have spent the day with you both and your wonderful family and friends! Please leave these lovebirds lots of love in the comments. Share the images and tag your friends in the pictures!

This Sanctuary Resort wedding is one of our all time favorites… Ilivia and Brandon were married at one of our favorite wedding venues in Arizona. Together, with Ilivia’s mom, they planned a destination wedding for a beautiful fall day in early November. The fall and winter are such beautiful months to be married in Arizona and gives couples who come from Chicago and norther parts of the East Coast a chance to have a winter wedding without the winter weather.

Sanctuary Resort wedding days are always full of lots of opportunities and beautiful nooks and crannies to utilize for photography. It’s a large property and we always work to plan for extra time for transportation. A few of our favorite places for romantic portraits of the couple are on the edges of the property and easy to get to with their golf cart transportation.

Ilivia and Brandon was are dream client in that they just live life to the fullest and are so genuine and loving. There wasn’t a moment where we needed to remind them to smile or to love each other. The day was full of laughter, smiles, and lots of romance! You’ll see that Brandon even sang a song to Ilivia during the beginning of the reception! They were surrounded by very supportive and loving families that had their own beautiful ways of showing how much they loved each other. We love all the happy tears and proud looks filled with love their parents had for them.

While moments are always more important than details, these two also made impressive choices with their vendor selection in makeup artist, wedding cake and wedding florist. The KAK Shop is one of the best cake artists in Arizona. Their sugar flower work is stunning … they even made a sugar flower bee on this cake! And one of our very favorite floral designers is Loraine and her team at Brady’s Floral. The arrangements they created were stunning. And we have nothing but love for Arizona makeup artist Linda Wagner … we’ve worked with her on many magazine editorial shoots and on many weddings and she’s absolutely amazing.

We hope you enjoy a few of the highlights from this Sanctuary Resort wedding … it’s full of amazing heartfelt moments and beautiful details.

An Alcantara Vineyard wedding….

Sarah and Nat are one of those lucky couples that met the old-fashioned way; through an introduction by friends. After elaborate plans to propose at a fancy restaurant in Brooklyn were spoiled, Nat proposed to Sara at their home. They still ended up going to the restaurant as a newly engaged couple celebrating.

Sarah is unusual in that she actually grew up in Sedona, which is just minutes away from Alcantara Vineyard. It’s not often that we get a Sedona local! We photographed their engagement session in her old stomping grounds.

You can see the engagement session here on our sister company site specializing in Sedona wedding photography: Sedona Bride Photographers

Here are just a few of the things Sarah and Nat love about each other:

Sarah: ” I love Nat’s smile and how his eyes crinkle when he does. He is super intelligent, and we share the same sense of humor. And he loves to have fun! He also takes care of me and always makes me feel better about things.”

Nat: ” I love Sarah’s spontaneity and energy. She is my favorite person to spend time with because she’s so fun, intelligent, and makes me a better person. I also love her to devotion to our cats.”

And now, our favorite moments from the wedding:

Sarah’s vows. We hope she has them written down because they were so sweet and honest… there wasn’t a dry eye in the crowd.

The moon rise. It peeked up over the horizon and right over Alcantara Vineyard right when they were cutting the cake. Through the vineyards it made a beautiful entrance.

The all-time favorite moment though was Sarah’s Mom and Dad dancing to their own song. It was their anniversary, too, so it was fitting that Sarah and Nat were married on her Mom and Dad’s anniversary. Even the both of us ( Andrew + Katrina) were teary-eyed!

Sarah and Nat, we are so happy for you! You have such great examples with how both of your parents love each other, and love and adore you two! It was such an honor to capture all those beautiful moments for you! We have a feeling we’ll be staying in touch! And, a special thanks to Kim. We shared so many emails and phone calls, we’re so glad to have gotten to know you! Thanks for welcoming us with open arms on the wedding day, and for treating us like family!

This is the magical wedding of Alexandra Petznick to David Bray at Dancing Apache Lodge. We say magical because that’s what they are together and with their family and friends. The way the love each other is just so pure and sweet and romantic. Alex’s family owns Dancing Apache Lodge which is located about 90 minutes north of Phoenix and 15 minutes south of  Sedona in Page Springs. Normally a Dancing Apache Lodge wedding would be held in the front end of the property where the lodge and vineyards are located. There is a private area for the families in the back which is just as gorgeous with a big red barn and ponds and a beautiful lawn with an old tree which is where they held their ceremony.

We’ve photographed over 500 weddings in Arizona several of which have been Dancing Apache Lodge weddings and this was the first where we saw a tree branding as part of the wedding ceremony. Alex and David had their initials made into a branding iron and that was used during the ceremony to brand their initials into the tree they were married under. It was so romantic and sweet.

Enjoy the images and the story of Alex and David’s unforgettable wedding in Arizona!

Alex is a hairstylist so her friends and coworkers helped her with her hair and makeup … she has so many wonderful friends!

There are all the traditional processional shots but sometimes the behind the scenes are more fun and full of character. Here, the bridesmaids are looking for their cue to walk down the aisle.

THIS! It makes our heart skip a beat… sometimes the best moments happen AFTER the walk down the aisle … David was so happy and cried after they had cleared the last row of guests.
